Come join fermentation extraordinaire Tara Whitsitt for a Spring workshop delving into the wonders of vegetable fermentation! Tara is a food educator and founder of Fermentation on Wheels. She travels the country in her converted school bus holding free educational workshops and culture exchanges in schools, community centers, and at festivals. We will cover the simple tradition of preserving cabbage through bacterial collaboration. Tara will also share the benefits of fermentation and advise on cost effective & simple tools to get you fermenting creatively & fearlessly in your own kitchen. This workshop is for new and experienced fermenters alike! Whether you’re just curious to try your hand or want to learn more from a seasoned pro, this workshop will be worth your while! The Family Resource Center has limited capacity, so we are capping attendance at 25 people. You must RSVP to foodcouncildnatl@gmail.com if you want to attend!!! Check out Tara’s website for more info about her awesome projects: www.fermentationonwheels.com
